I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Mine was terrific. No little children, so everything was at a relaxed pace. I am embracing this time before the next generation arrives and throws it all off-kilter!
I'm really not sad to see 2013 come to a close. We had health issues I'd rather not repeat and extended family drama I would like to forget. But we survived and I'm looking forward to a clean slate.
Updated the numbers and figured my year-end total. I missed my cross-my-fingers-hope-it-happens goal. I was secretly hoping to announce that we had paid off $50,000 in three years. We fell short by $2,446.25 - I guess that's not a lot in the grand scheme, but I wanted to see that banner number. We should be hitting it soon, though. This year, we paid off $16,891.73 - can't complain about that!
Times are still tight, but we've settled into a somewhat comfortable financial routine. There are still corners we could cut, but it seems to be important to our success to not go totally bare bones. I'm sure some of you would disagree with that decision, but it's working for us. We're making progress and are committed to seeing this through until the end.
In another surprise, there have been more than 200,000 views of this blog and there are now more than 100 followers!! Who would have thought that would ever happen? Not me!
Happy New Year to all. I wish each of you happiness and peace in the coming year. Thanks for standing by me through this journey.
