I'm hiding from the goblins tonight

I didn't buy any Halloween candy. We live in an older neighborhood and there are very few kids around. The past two years no one rang our doorbell, but the weather wasn't the greatest. The result was that I ate way too much candy the day after Halloween. Not so this year. I'm keeping the porch lights off and staying away from the windows. I may be a scrooge, but it's better for my wallet and my waist.

  1. That is fair enough, especially if you haven't had T'o'T'ers at your place in 2 years. My parents aren't buying any either, because it's a big hit or miss. Mostly miss. First year we were at their current house, we got over 80 kids. Next year, about 20. Year after that, like 30. We just put our lights off thereafter.

  2. I should start to hear some "knocking" any moment now. The only reason is because I had a lot of candy leftover from my class' Halloween party today and I've already been munching away on it. I tell ya, the first 10 kids to my door are going to hit the jackpot, then I'm turning off the light and hiding in the basement!!

  3. I only purchased Wendy certs for the kids on my street, gave them out to them early today and then shut out the lights and belly crawled through the house. We are one of the neighborhoods that people drive to go trick or treating and I just cant afford it. It is what it is

  4. Do not be so sad. So many people do this. At some point of my life I also did same to save money. I understand your situation.
