New glasses - the verdict is in

They're fabulous! For those of you who missed it, the dog ate my glasses and no way was I able to afford a new pricey pair. So I went out on a limb and ordered a pair online at 39dollarglasses.com.

What a great experience! I got exactly what I expected, the lenses are perfect and the good quality frames don't even require any adjustments. I was even given one of those tiny screwdrivers of my very own as well as a cleaning cloth. Total time from order to delivery was less than six days. Total cost, with coupon code, including shipping: $23.90.

This company has a new customer!

  1. Oh wow! That's great to hear. I'll have to check them out, but most likely wont order right away since spring is coming, which means I can use my contacts again. What coupon did you use?

    1. I googled 39dollarglasses coupon code. Best one I found was WWMAG, which gave me $20 off - no strings. It was apparently out of Women's World Magazine. There were several codes out there, though, so they seem to be plentiful.

  8. Hi! I just read your blog about your new glasses. Wow, what a deal! Can I ask you a couple of questions if you don't mind? First, I have never bought glasses anywhere except where I have my eyes examined. Will they give me my prescription without buying the frames from them? Also, can you tell me which style glasses you bought? Just want to get an idea about which ones you thought were nice and fitted you well. I want to give this a try. Thanks for the suggestion.

    1. Hi! Don't mind the questions at all. Absolutely they will give you your prescription! You're never obligated to buy from the place of examination, although they'd all like you to think that. I actually spoke with the person in charge of selling the frames, found the price too high and thanked her and said I was going to check out some other places. I then walked over to the front desk and asked for my prescription. Nobody said a thing. I bought the Malibu frames. Here's the link: http://www.39dollarglasses.com/3513_PinkGrape.html

Another note, if the frames need adjusting, you can just pop into WalMart or some other place and ask them to do it. I've done that with other pairs I've had and they've always been happy to take care of it for me.

      Good luck!

  12. I know this post is super old, but I just found your blog and started at the beginning! :) Thanks for the heads up re: 39dollarglasses. I have been needing new glasses for months now, and have been putting it off because glasses are so expensive and I didn't dare to try the online thing. I am going to look into it! Thanks again!

  13. A great deal is a great deal, and that, I'm sure, is one of them. It's really cool how you've managed to get around all the usual strains when it comes to getting suitable wares, such as distance and price point. Thanks for sharing! All the best to you!
